We welcome visitors to our site


Throughout the season we welcome a range of local, interstate and international visitors to the Hart research site; growers, consultants, high school and university students, researchers, industry and funding bodies.

The purpose of their visits are generally to understand our farming systems, current issues and research topics trialled on the site.

2017 VISITORS

  • A group of 19 agricultural R&E (research & extension) specialists from India, Nepal & Bangladesh led by Jay Cummins and Judy Wilkinson, looking at Aus farming systems and how we conduct R&E activities (pictured below)

2016 VISITORS

  • Gladstone and Clare High School sampled trials as part of their agriculture subjects
  • SAGIT trustees visited as part of the annual project tour (pictured below left)
  • RMI barley tour filled with local and international brewers, maltsters and marketers (photo below right)
  • Third Year University of Adelaide Agriculture students conducted their lectures and practical components in the field
  • Landmark consultants update
  • Soil acidity workshop led by Andrew Harding, Rural Solutions
  • Robert Long, NSW consultant – looking at rotation options
